⛵️ The miniature Class 40, inspired by the real offshore racing Class 40s, is a remote-controlled version that is 76 cm long (hull overall).
Designed by David Moreau, it is inspired by the hull shape of the Lift 40 V2 designed by Marc Lombard.
💡 Its main asset: it requires very little external material, as almost all elements are 3D printed. No lamination is necessary!
📐 Detailed features:
- Hull length: 76 cm
- Overall length: 82 cm
- Mast: fixed 1 spreader level
- Draft: 27 cm
- Total weight in navigation approx. 2 kg
🛠️ The Class 40 RC is delivered ready to sail, offering a complete assembly experience for enthusiasts who wish to control every step of the construction.
Designed to ensure lightness and robustness, printed by us in our workshop, this model is perfect for ambitious model enthusiasts or fans of miniature offshore racing.
This model includes the following elements:
- hull elements with numbered transom,
- appendages (keel fin, rudders),
- keel bulb (cast lead),
- servos,
- screws,
- remote control,
- carbon tubes for mast, keel and boom,
- a set of sails: mainsail and genoa in technical fabric (black or transparent weave),
- hull painting and varnishing (color of your choice to be agreed upon order),
- assembly instructions (available in French and English),
- .stl files of the plans (on request).
The hull elements are printed in ABS-CF. Carbon-reinforced ABS-CF, lighter and more robust, optimizes the model's performance by offering better agility on the water. This material also offers better resistance to heat and sun.
The appendages (rudders, keel fin) are printed in XTCF 20 (carbon PETG) for increased rigidity.
This product does not include hull decoration.
NB: Optionally, you can also opt for sail and hull decoration. To do this, contact us or go to the "Déco" section of the shop.
