⛵️ The Pt'Imoca is a miniature remote-controlled version, 84 cm long (hull overall), inspired by the lines of Paul Meilhat's Biotherm sailboat. It is a smaller sibling to real IMOCAs. Designed by Romain Piques, who created its 3D plans, it features a canting keel, retractable foils synchronized with the keel, and a functional wing mast.
💡 Its main advantage: it requires very little external equipment, as almost all elements are 3D printed. No lamination is needed!
🛠️ This Pt'IMOCA model is delivered ready to sail and fully equipped. Ideal if you want to delegate all the construction and focus on sailing.
This model includes:
- 3D printed hull components with numbered cockpit,
- paint and varnish for the entire hull (solid color, decoration and lettering extra),
- 3D printed appendices (foils, keel fin, rudders),
- 3D printed mast with integrated carbon tubes,
- lead bulb (cast lead),
- assembly instructions (available in French, English, and German),
- servos,
- screws,
- a remote control,
- .stl files of the plans (upon request) provided by Romain Piques,
- sails (Mainsail, J2, and J3 Pack) made of technical fabric (black or transparent laminate) with reinforcements in your choice of color (from the following colors: neon yellow, neon pink, neon orange, blue, white, or black).
Hull and sail decoration are not included in the price. They can be ordered separately.
Two material options for the 3D printed hull (excluding appendices):
- ABS-CF: Carbon-reinforced ABS-CF, lighter and more robust, optimizes the model's performance by offering better agility on the water. This material also has better heat and sun resistance.
- PLA +: PLA + ensures good robustness for easy assembly.
The appendices (rudders, keel fin, foils) are by default printed in PLA +. It is possible to choose the XTCF 20 (carbon PETG) option for greater rigidity.
This choice allows you to adapt your construction according to your priorities between lightness and resistance. This model is also available as a DIY kit version.
